The 2020 Census will count every person living in the United States, including all 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. The count is mandated by the U.S. Constitution and is conducted every 10 years by the U.S. Census Bureau.
In the spring of 2020, every household will receive an invitation to respond to a short questionnaire online, by phone or by mail.
