Agriculture is the lifeblood of rural communities and the backbone of Oklahoma. Now more than ever, it’s important to make sure rural voices are heard in elections this November. The individuals elected to serve in public office play a critical role in day-to-day life the farm and ranch.
Oklahoma Farm Bureau wants to ensure farmers, ranchers and rural Oklahomans are armed with the information necessary to choose how to cast their ballots this November. Included on this page are a number of resources to help you prepare to vote this fall.
How to vote
Voting in person
Oklahoma voters may vote early in person at county election board offices in the county in which they are registered. Early voting will take place Thursday, Oct. 29 and Friday, Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Election Day, or Tuesday, Nov. 3, polls will be open for in-person voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Find your polling place using the state election board’s online voter tool.
State election officials strongly recommend that voters wear masks or cloth face coverings at in-person voting sites.
Register to vote
The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 3 general elections in Oklahoma is Friday, Oct. 9. To register, fill out an application online to be printed, signed and mailed.
Request absentee ballot
The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. Oklahoma voters may request an absentee ballot using the Oklahoma State Election Board’s online OK Voter Portal.
This year, the governor’s COVID-19 state of emergency declaration provides an alternate option for absentee voter verification. Standard absentee ballot affidavits may be verified by being notarized OR the voter may submit a copy of a valid ID. Read full details on the election board’s website.
Absentee ballots must be received by the county election board office by Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m.

AFBF released the responses of both presidential candidates to its survey on leading agriculture and rural issues.
OKFB’s new federal Ag PAC this year endorsed six candidates running to represent Oklahoma in Congress.
The OKFB Ag Fund endorsed eight candidates running for the state Legislature in the general elections.
