Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee will hold its summer conference July 10-11 in Stillwater.
Young agriculturalists ages 18-35 from around the state are invited to gather together as the group tours local agricultural facilities, hears from speakers on important farm and food topics, and engages with each other to learn first-hand about new ideas in farming, ranching and agribusiness.
Friday, July 10 will feature a presentation by the Center for Food Integrity focusing on addressing concerns consumers have in an open and welcoming way. Friday evening will feature a social event at Rockin’ Star Farm, including plenty of time for mingling and visiting.
California Farm Bureau member and state YF&R committee member Daniel Bays will speak to attendees on Saturday, July 11 about the challenges regulations and California’s ongoing drought pose for farmers and ranchers.
Registration for the conference is $25 per person. Registration plus a hotel room for one night at the host hotel is $150.
To register, or for more information, contact OKFB’s YF&R Coordinator Holly Carroll at (405) 523-2307.
