Major County Farm Bureau member named to Grain Inspection Advisory Committee
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the appointment of seven members to serve on the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Grain Inspection Advisory Committee. The appointees will serve a 3-year term. Burlington, Oklahoma, native Samantha Smith recently joined Oklahoma Farm Bureau as a communications specialist. Smith is an agricultural communications graduate from Oklahoma State University. Brady Bond of Garber is Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s new northwest field representative. “This is an exciting opportunity to promote agriculture and Farm Bureau’s mission to protect rural Oklahoma,” Bond said. “I’m looking forward to building relationships with the members in this area and helping create an even stronger organization.” Bond graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in agricultural education and taught at Garber High School for three years.
