OKFB to host Foundation Night Out during annual meeting
Oklahoma Farm Bureau members will enjoy an evening of fellowship and fun during the Foundation Night Out on Friday night during the organization’s 77th Annual Meeting to be held Nov. 16-18 in Norman, Oklahoma. New at this year’s convention, the Foundation Night Out will feature a silent auction benefitting the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture, a reception and a movie night. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers will host its annual discussion meet at the organization’s annual convention Nov. 16, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma. The discussion meet is designed to replicate a committee meeting in which all participants are expected to discuss and actively contribute. Participants are evaluated on an exchange of ideas and information on a pre-determined topic in three rounds of debate-style discussion. Farm bill expiration adds to farmers’ uncertainty, Kinder tells KGOU

Foundation announces name change to Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture
The Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation board of directors recently announced the non-profit foundation has changed its name to the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. With the support of Oklahoma Farm Bureau members and friends throughout the agriculture industry, the foundation has worked to promote agriculture, educate consumers, and support rural communities since its founding. Mielke named vice president of communications and public relations
Oklahoma Farm Bureau has chosen Dustin Mielke to serve as vice president of communications and public relations for the organization. More than 70 Farm Bureau women gathered at the 2018 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee Fall Conference Sept. 28-29 in Edmond, Oklahoma. With a “Made in Oklahoma” theme, the conference helped celebrate the food and fiber grown, raised, and produced in Oklahoma.
