Jenny Haken of Payne County Farm Bureau was named the winner of the 2020 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Discussion Meet held in conjunction with the group’s caucus on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Oklahoma City. Haken competed against other participants in debate-style discussion where performance was evaluated on the exchange of ideas and information on pre-determined topics. County Farm Bureaus recently honored for excellence
County Farm Bureaus were recently recognized for their efforts to further agriculture and rural Oklahoma. Each year, OKFB recognizes the county Farm Bureaus that have excelled in program areas such as membership, public policy, local affairs, service to members, Women’s Leadership Committee and Young Farmers and Ranchers with a Presidential Star Award. Payne, Woodward, Comanche, Okmulgee, Okfuskee, and Caddo County Farm Bureaus each received the Six-Star Presidential Award for excelling in six program areas. Nash joins OKFB as communications specialist
Oklahoma Farm Bureau recently hired Rebekah Nash as a communications specialist. Nash is re-joining OKFB after completing the 2019 summer communications internship program. Oklahoma Farm Bureau encourages its members to attend one of the Oklahoma Legislature’s redistricting town hall meetings to be held across the state in the coming weeks. Oklahoma Farm Bureau members elected new leaders, conducted organizational business and heard from speakers during the organization’s 2020 online business meeting held Thursday, Nov. 5.
