Twelve high school seniors from across the state were recently selected to attend the Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference June 14-16.
The OYLA conference is a three-day annual event hosted by Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers & Ranchers to prepare high school students for a future career in agriculture and to advance youth leadership.
Attendees have a full schedule for the conference, including a tour of Lopez Foods, a communications training session, a Capitol visit with Sen. Chris Kidd, and much more.
The 12 students selected for the OYLA conference are:
- Cheyenne Britt of Tulsa County
- Logan Carter of Rogers County
- Rayli Cunningham of Harper County
- Karson Dodd of Cotton County
- Halle Hartman of Beckham County
- Anna Jeffrey of Canadian County
- Gracie Norris of Rogers County
- Alisa Northcutt of Johnston County
- Murray Powers of Stephens County
- Blake Runner of Rogers County
- Tyler Wilkinson of Canadian County
- Bralea White of Cotton County
Participants of the conference are selected through an application process. The students selected represent some of Oklahoma’s most promising high school agriculturalists.
The students attending the conference have a wide variety of agricultural career interests and are choosing degrees spanning the agriculture spectrum, including business, pre-law, agricultural communications, marketing, pre-medicine, animal science, engineering, agricultural education, agricultural economics and pre-vet.
