Farm Bureau Week quickly approaching on Feb. 15-19 is a perfect way to celebrate and share our grassroots organization across your community.
Events may look a little different than normal this year, but county Farm Bureaus can still highlight all the work Farm Bureau does for farmers, ranchers and rural Oklahomans.
Below are five ways that county Farm Bureaus can be involved in Farm Bureau Week.
1. Sign a proclamation
Contact your county commissioner to sign a proclamation declaring Feb. 15-19 Farm Bureau Week in your county.
2. Host giveaways
Utilize social media to host various giveaways to engage members in your county. In the post, ask a question to your members, for example what is your favorite thing about being a Farm Bureau member? Have the members comment on the post, and choose a winner from the participants.
3. Place an ad in your paper
Place a customized advertisement in your local newspaper to highlight your county organization or events you are holding. To request an advertisement, contact Brianne Schwabauer at (405) 523-2300.
4. Donate to a community organization
Host a donation drive for a cause within your community, or consider donating to FFA chapters, 4-H clubs, food pantries or other organizations.
5. Pick up the tab
Offer to pay for meals at a local restaurant or coffee shop during Farm Bureau Week to share Farm Bureau in your community.
