Oklahoma farmers and ranchers have until this Friday, Dec. 11 to apply for payments from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2, or CFAP 2. The program provides relief payments to eligible agricultural producers who have faced market disruptions and associated costs due to COVID-19.
More than 31,000 Oklahoma producers have been approved for $280.5 million in CFAP 2 payments to date, with cattle producers receiving nearly 70% of those dollars.
Eligible farmers and ranchers may apply for CFAP 2 payments at USDA’s Farm Service Agency county offices through Dec. 11, 2020.
The second round of payments supports row crops – including all classes of wheat – along with livestock, specialty crops, dairy, aquaculture and many additional commodities. Find a full list of eligible commodities on the USDA website.
