Holman named assistant director of public policy
Caylie Holman has been named an assistant director of public policy at Oklahoma Farm Bureau. In the new role, she will work alongside the public policy staff to advocate for Farm Bureau’s grassroots policy at the state Capitol. Ag Fund boasts 100% success rate in primary elections, expands support for candidates
All 26 candidates supported or endorsed by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Ag Fund, the organization’s grassroots political action committee, advanced out of Oklahoma’s primary elections held June 30. While 23 of those candidates will advance to the general election on Nov. 3, three candidates will face a runoff primary election on Aug. 25. Congressman Frank Lucas shared details about the $16 billion Coronavirus Food Assistance Program recently made available to eligible agriculture producers during a live webinar with Oklahoma Farm Bureau members on May 27. USDA coronavirus aid signup to launch May 26
Farmers and ranchers dealing with the significant impacts of the coronavirus may begin applying for direct payments from the $16 billion Coronavirus Food Assistance Program on May 26, as announced today by President Trump and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue. CFAP will provide direct payments to agricultural producers who have “suffered a five-percent-or-greater price decline or who had losses due to market supply chain disruptions due to COVID-19 and face additional significant market costs,” according to the USDA.
