The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee will host its annual fall conference Sept. 15-16 at the Embassy Suites in Oklahoma City. The two-day conference will feature a variety of speakers, informative sessions and fun activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring any historical Farm Bureau memorabilia to display in celebration of OKFB’s 75th anniversary. Conference attendees are also asked to come dressed in 1942 attire. The Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation and the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Legal Foundation will host their second-annual Shotgun Shoot Fundraiser Friday, August 25 at Quail Ridge Sporting Clays in McLoud. The event will feature a full morning of fun, food and friendly competition for the four-person teams as they tackle a variety of shooting challenges on the course. OKFB WLC Nurse’s Scholarship July 15 deadline approaching
The deadline for the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee’s Nurse’s Scholarship is July 15. The annual scholarship program awards three $500 scholarships to students studying nursing at an accredited college, university, vo-tech or trade school. Applicants must be Oklahoma Farm Bureau members or a member of a Farm Bureau member family. The WLC understands the important role nurses and healthcare professionals play in ensuring a high quality of life for all residents across our state, and especially rural residents. Legislators at the state Capitol received a steak and baked potato lunch last week, courtesy of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee during the Farm City Festival. OKFB women to host Youth Safety Day June 2
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee will hold their annual Youth Safety Day on Friday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the OKFB home office in Oklahoma City. The 2017 Youth Safety Day will host students grades 5-9 from across the state of Oklahoma and offer a wide variety of safety lessons related to everyday life. Farm Bureau women gather in Oklahoma City for fall conference
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee hosted their 2016 Fall Conference Oct. 28-29 in Oklahoma City. Women from across the state attended the two-day event featuring various speakers, workshops, entertainment and more. Four Oklahoma Farm Bureau families from across the state have been named District Farm Family of the Year and are nominated for the state Farm Family of the Year award. The application deadline is drawing near for Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee’s Farm Family of the Year award, which recognizes a top farm and ranch family in rural Oklahoma.
