OKFB WLC to host fall conference Sept. 28-29 in Edmond
Oklahoma Farm Bureau women are invited to gather for the OKFB Women’s Leadership Committee Fall Conference to be held Sept. 28-29 at the Hilton Garden Inn and Conference Center in Edmond, Oklahoma. The two-day conference will feature special speakers, educational breakout sessions, a trade show, entertainment, fellowship and more. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee is accepting applications for its 2018 nurse’s scholarship program now through July 1. The annual scholarship program awards three $500 scholarships to students studying nursing at an accredited college, university, vo-tech or trade school. As wheat harvest continues across the state, Oklahoma farmers are invited to donate bushels of harvested crops to the Bushels for Books program. A partnership of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee and the Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation, the program each year accepts donated crops and monetary contributions to provide Oklahoma schools with bushel baskets of agriculture books. To donate harvested crops, farmers present a completed Bushels for Books form to their local co-op or grain elevator to designate the amount of bushels they wish to donate to the program. Six Oklahoma teachers were presented with a basket of agriculture books during the OKFB Annual Meeting Nov. 11 in Norman, Oklahoma. WLC hosts annual fall conference in Oklahoma City
More than 60 Farm Bureau women gathered for a weekend of fun and fellowship at the annual Women’s Leadership Committee fall conference Sept. 15-16 in Oklahoma City.
