Garfield County Farm Bureau was named the John I. Taylor Award winner for 2017 during this year’s OKFB Annual Meeting Nov. 10 in Norman, Oklahoma. The award is named after OKFB’s first president and serves as the organization’s highest county honor. County winners are required to earn the Four-Star Presidential Award and excel in at least six different program areas. The Hilton family of Gate, Oklahoma, received the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee District One Farm and Ranch Family Recognition during the organization’s 76th annual meeting on Friday, Nov. 10 in Norman, Oklahoma. Kennemer family honored as District Two Farm and Ranch Family
The Kennemer family of Carter, Oklahoma, received the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee District Two Farm and Ranch Family Recognition during the organization’s annual meeting on Friday, Nov. 10 in Norman. Dale and Lori Kennemer, along with their children Bailey Kennemer and Derek and Levi Parker, have a diversified farm and ranch in Beckham County where they raise cattle and grow wheat, grain sorghum and alfalfa in a no-till production system. Texas County member honored by OWRB for water conservation, innovative technology
Pat Long, a farmer and Texas County Farm Bureau member, was honored with a 2017 Water for 2060 Excellence Award for crop irrigation and agriculture by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board Nov. 1 during the Governor’s Water Conference in Norman, Oklahoma. Oklahoma Farm Bureau will host a trade show alongside the organization’s 76th annual meeting held Nov. 10-12 in Norman, Oklahoma.
