Kay County sponsors ag youth special section in local newspaper

Kay County Farm Bureau recently sponsored a 24-page special section in the Ponca City Newspaper highlighting FFA, 4-H and ag youth activities throughout the county. OKFB announces Community Food Assistance Matching Program

Oklahoma Farm Bureau is launching a new OKFB Community Food Assistance Matching Program to connect county Farm Bureaus with their community. This program encourages county organizations to donate to a local food assistance program, and OKFB will match the donation up to $100. County Farm Bureaus may donate to their local food bank, food pantry, meals on wheels or other food assistance program to have their donation matched. NEO A&M Collegiate Farm Bureau awarded AFBF grant

The Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College recently was awarded a mini-grant from the American Farm Bureau Federation. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s second round of coronavirus relief payments came at a critical time for Oklahoma wheat farmers, Payne County Farm Bureau member and third-generation farmer Carl Williams said in an interview with OETA’s Oklahoma News Report on Friday, Oct. 2. Williams, who farms and ranches near Coyle, was able to receive Coronavirus Food Assistance Program payments for his cattle production earlier this year. Custer County opens new satellite office in Weatherford

Custer County Farm Bureau officially opened the doors of its new satellite office in Weatherford on July 29. Now located at 1402 N. Washington, across the street from Weatherford High School, the new office will replace the old location at 510 E. Main. After breaking ground on the site Sept. 10, 2019, the Custer County Farm Bureau board members and insurance agents worked closely to create a space to better serve their members and the community. Comanche County member shares benefits of USMCA with KSWO

Adam Bohl, a fifth-generation Chattanooga farmer and Comanche County Farm Bureau member, recently explained the impact of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement on farmers and ranchers in a story with KSWO 7 News in Lawton. Logan County member shares beef industry challenges with News9

John Pfeiffer, Logan County Farm Bureau president and owner of Pfeiffer Angus Farms near Mulhall, Oklahoma, explained some of the challenges facing beef producers in a recent News9 story. Low cattle prices, coupled with recent processing plant reductions, have taken a toll on ranchers across Oklahoma and around the nation. “All of those things begin to have an effect on the price, and when they affect the price it begins to affect everyone’s bottom line,” Pfeiffer said. Custer County breaks ground on new Weatherford office

Custer County Farm Bureau officially broke ground on a new office building in Weatherford on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The new office, expected to be completed sometime toward the end of next year, will be located at 1402 N. Washington across from Weatherford High School.
