Pontotoc County Farm Bureau values your membership as being of great importance in support of our local organization. Our organization has a large input in our community, state and nation pertaining to various topics, such as taxes, schools, judicial, roads and others issues which affect our daily lives. We are actively involved in community affairs and have a staff that coordinates legislation (those within purview of our Farm Bureau Policies) with our local, state and federally elected officials.
Pontotoc County Farm Bureau supports many events throughout the county, such as Ag in the Classroom for county public schools, the Pontotoc County Junior Livestock Shows, all FFA and 4-H programs, and a defensive driving class three times a year. We also offer a scholarship awarding 16 students pursuing a higher education each year. Our Women’s Leadership Committee is very active in the community by leading Ag in the Classroom, hosting a luncheon for the employees of the Pontotoc County Courthouse during the annual Farm/City Festival, and offer a Fire Safety Program hosted by the OKFB Safety Services Department.
Pontotoc County’s top commodities are cattle, horses, grains, hay, pecans.
