The McClain County Farm Bureau supports and contributes to FFA and 4-H activities throughout the county, and sponsors youth to the Summer Safety Camp/Outdoor Adventure each year. We sponsor defensive driving courses for our members whenever possible.
The main crops grown in McClain County are wheat, alfalfa, soybeans, and cotton. McClain County has many cattle operations, but is probably best known for its numerous horse operations. Purcell is known as the heart of the horse industry.
