Cimarron County, the only county in the U.S. to touch four states as well as it’s own! Cimarron County is the smallest county by population, but one of the larger counties in land mass. Farming and Ranching are major area industries. Some crops that are grown in Cimarron county are corn, wheat, milo and alfalfa.
Cimarron Memorial Hospital is the major employer. Boise City also has a city-owned public swimming pool, tennis courts, golf course, airport, county fair buildings, rodeo arena, city park, RV parks, antique stores and museum.
To commemorate the historic crossing of the Santa Fe Trail, the Boise City Chamber of Commerce sponsors Santa Fe Trail Daze each year during the first weekend in June. We have people from all around come to help celebrate. Residents and visitors also enjoy the Trout Derby and the Easter Pageant in April, County Fair and Stock Show in September, and the Crafts Show in October. Black Mesa State Park in not only known for it’s fishing, hiking and camping, it is the highest point in the state of Oklahoma!
